The "escarabajos" or "the beetles" was the name given to the Colombian cyclists during the 1980s on the world pro circuit due to their impressive climbing skills. The name "Escabarajos" persists among the new wave of Colombian riders like Nairo Quintana, Esteban Chaves, Egan Bernal and Rigoberto Uran. This cyclists always pose a legitimate threat for a place on the podium on any of the great pro cycling tours. During this tour we will follow the training routes of these cyclists by going up and down the three distinct mountain ranges. The views on this tour are majestic and over the course of a week you will get a chance to experience what has made a lineage of great cyclists. We have structured this tour for those who like to challenge themselves. Every day will bring a new challenge to test yourself. By the end of this tour you will be satisfied by all your accomplishments over the week.
